Driving to Hilton Head Island
- Take I95 to Hwy 278 ( Exit 11), (278 is now a four lane highway from I95 to Hilton Head)
- Proceed on 278 to the Palmetto Dunes entrance.
- Turn left into Palmetto Dunes, staying in the right hand lane.
- Take first drive to right and go to the building in the back. The building has a drive thru window.
You will pick up your pass there and a map. If you arrive after 5:00 PM, you may pick up a pass at the security gate. If you would like to call to let them know you will be late, their number is 803-785-1120. To get to the security gate and the villa turn right on the road and follow it to the security gate. Once pass the security gate take the first right turn over the bridge. Follow this road until it dead-ends. Turn right into Inverness Village go over the bridge keeping to the right as the road splits. Look for Unit 990 with the name Gerding on it.
